Now I have to scruff up the paint a bit, add a semi gloss clear (for protection), finish painting the headstock, and wire the thing. I don't have a humbucker for it yet, any cheap and decent sounding suggestions? The pickup must be all black or zebra (black and white).

Damn sweet. Are you using the actual damage pattern for the relic process?

Are you modeling it after The Best of Both Worlds? Great album..if not, it still looks great!

Yep! In that first pic you can see my full scale hi-res print of the actual guitar. I'm trying to make the body look as correct as possible. Sadly, I don't have the correct type of hardware and nor do I have the correct neck, but I will make do.

Sort of... I'm modeling it after the guitar that inspired the best of both worlds album.

You're gonna get/make the outfit too, right? I mean, you have to, right?
Great work with the guitar so far! If it were mine, I'd put a Duncan JB or 59 in it, but I'm not really sure what tone you're after. I also realize it isn't cheap. I'm no help at all!

It's the homemade Carvel/Jackson body Eddie made himself, and was first featured on the cover of VH1
It was his main guitar and he kept modifying it through the Diver Down tour.
With fresh Kramer sponsorship, he started playing this Beretta in 1984.
Then came the Ernie Ball and Peavy stuff, and I stopped paying attention.

Thanks! I had no idea about any of that..it's super cool!

Damnit, that middle shot is not his frankenstrat.
Here it is (center)
The one I posted earlier must have been a reproduction Kramer spit out for promo shots.

That's neat. I was about to tell you to put your own wear patterns in, but going this route should be even cooler.
Can you set a budget for what kind of humbuckers you want?

Can you make me some of those overalls in that pattern?

$60 or so

I would have to make my own first.
